Trish’s journey with Walker Resources, LLC is rooted in resilience, advocacy, and compassion for seniors. With a background in clinical senior care, she saw firsthand how illness, disability, and systemic barriers can impact lives. Her passion is making sure no senior feels voiceless, guiding families through the complexities of the health system with empathy and strength.

After relocating from Washington, D.C. to South Bend in 2022, Trish joined Walker Resources while serving as a Civic Innovation Fellow/Project Manager at enFocus. This role allowed her to blend her clinical expertise with leadership, research, and program design—deepening her commitment to creating meaningful impact in her community.

Erika Campbell

Born and raised in Elkhart, Indiana, Erika has always had a heart for helping others. After earning her EMT certification in Florida, she returned home to care for her grandparents, an experience that shaped her passion for supporting families through end-of-life planning. Working as a Community Health Worker for Beacon Health System, she connected underserved populations with vital healthcare resources, strengthening her dedication to advocacy and care.

Erika’s personal experience with her grandparents opened her eyes to the importance of protection, planning, and dignity in life’s most difficult moments. Through Walker Resources, LLC, she is committed to guiding families with compassion and providing the highest level of support.

Qualifications

  • EMT Certification, Hillsborough Community College (2010)

  • Community Health Worker, Beacon Health System

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Financial Planning (Ivy Tech & Purdue University)

  • Experienced in resource coordination and family care support

What do we discuss?

Meeting gives us a chance to learn more about each other and decide if we are a good fit to work together. We believe all services must include a collaborative partnership.

  • Gather and review required documents with signing as necessary.
  • Research assets to build an individualized “asset library.”
  • If we are managing assets then appropriate banking setup is established to protect and marshal the assets 
  • Establish a cadence to meet and review so that we maintain relationship and ensure quality care

Trust

Establish an EIN.

Marshal assets as outlined in the trust documents.

Invest trust funds with the direction of financial advisors.

Oversee tax reporting.

Disperse funds as outlined in the trust documents.

Draft annual accounting reports to the beneficiary/ies as outlined in the trust documents.

Close the trust with final account report.

Durable POA

Secure and maintain other insurance/retirement benefits – including pensions, 401K, life insurance, annuities, social security, Medicare, etc 

Sell assets as necessary

Establish and maintain Medicaid as necessary

Oversee tax reporting

Ensure monthly expenses are paid

Secure clothing or basic necessities as needed

Secure safe housing or transportation as appropriate

Attending medical appointments as requested

Guardianship

Secure and maintain other insurance/retirement benefits – including pensions, 401K, life insurance, annuities, social security, Medicare, etc 

Sell assets as necessary

Establish and maintain Medicaid as necessary

Case Management

Evaluate the client’s needs, strengths, risks, and resources

Locate and schedule consultations with appropriate community resources

Care Planning – Develop a tailored plan to address medical, social, financial, or personal needs.

Navigate complex social systems (healthcare, housing, legal support, or community programs) and ensure advocacy across all providers and territories

Advocacy – Ensure the client’s rights and best interests are represented, especially when they cannot advocate for themselves.

Monitoring & Follow-Up – Track progress, adjust plans as needs change, and ensure services are effective.

Documentation – Maintain accurate records of assessments, plans, and communications for accountability and compliance.
